CAREER
At the age of 25,

Moreover he is chosen to give the closing concert at the composers' competition "Queen Marie-José of Italy"..
Since 2000,
the famous concert agency Hörtnagel invited him several times to perform in Munich and Nuremberg. As a great lover of the stage, he discovers the world of theatre, giving 17 performances at the Geneva Pitoëff Theatre, together with his Michel Tirabosco Trio. In 2007 the Rotary Club of France names him unanimously the "Golden Talent of the Year".
In 2010,
he is the guest of honour at the Vladimir Spivakov Foundation, giving several concerts in Moscow, notably in the Kremlin. He subsequently is invited several times to perform in Moscow as well as in St-Petersburg.
In May 2014 he plays in the Mariinsky-Theatre under the direction of Valery Gergiev.
Il a enregistré à ce jour une quinzaine de CDs en duo, trio, quatuor ou avec orchestre.
Répertoire
With a view to expanding the musical literature for panpipes, Michel Tirabosco has commissioned several concertos. Reputed directors and orchestras invited him to Turkey (Orchestra of the European Communities), to Lebanon (Soloists of Amsterdam), to Russia (Philharmonic Orchestras of St. Petersburg and of Volgograd, Mariinsky Orchestra, Ermitage Orchestra), to Belgium (Les Musiciens d'Europe), to Switzerland (Chamber Orchestras of Neuchâtel and Fribourg, String Orchestra of St.Gall; the Bellerive Festival, I Barocchisti), etc. All in all Michel Tirabosco has recorded 15 CDs as a duett, a quartett or with orchestra.
PANPIPES
Michel Tirabosco revolutionised the world of panpipes by tuning his in C Major and adding a first pipe in C, thus covering the same register as the flute.
So as to allow him to play classical music, Michel Tirabosco had the diameter, the thickness as well as the length of the pipes adapted accordingly. Impassioned, a fierce lover of the sound and the legato, he is intent on always improving the sonorous and expressive richness of his instrument.
Michel thanks all his panpipe manufacturers most profusely for their support, their friendship and their generosity. He feels privileged to be able to profit from panpipes made by Ionut Preda (Romania), Antonio Tirabosco (Geneva), Santi Occorso (Ticino), Steffen Küttner (Germany) and Marek Tesluk (Poland).

At least for the duration of a concert they challenged themselves to highlight the brilliance of Southern music, whether it is rooted in the Latin, oriental or gipsy traditions. With vigour and spirit, charm and sensitiveness, they tried to enrich the most beautiful popular tunes by means of high quality arrangements created especially for this unusual and brilliant ensemble. Colourful, Bella Terra amalgamates graciousness and virtuosity. They play on a vast range of varied and full sounds. The musical world tour gives its rightful place to gipsy melodies of the Balkans, takes part in fiestas in Southern America, highlights the accents of the Mediterranean basin, of Italy and its Neapolitan love songs. On the way, the audience will be given to laughter and to crying. It's music, music, music...
TÊTE DE FLÛTE ET GUEULE DE PIANO
Humoristic spectacle
featuring Michel Tirabosco and Stephane Mayer
by Sophie Tirabosco
Stage-director: Dimitri Anzules
Sound : Benoît Saillet
Lighting : Jérôme Burdet

Affectionate, comical and funny, the two friends from childhood form an extraordinary pair on stage. They are about to embark upon an unexpected settlement of accounts. Always intent on giving events a surprising turn, Michel Tirabosco and Stéphane Mayer bring their talents into play in their own and queer way, be that with a bottle, a melodeon or an ukulele, all this to the great joy of their audience. Thanks to their inexhaustible flow of wits, they present a show relating musical history in an absolutely jubilant way. Vivaldi rubs himself at Hard Rock, Ravel competes with Jazz, and very discretely Swiss Yodel also finds its way onto the stage. So, make yourself comfortable and ... just enjoy! Suitable to any audience.
UNA VOCE
Michel Tirabosco, panpipes Denis Fedorov, accordion Yulia Zimina, mandolin
The trio pan flute, accordion and mandolin was born in 2009. Idea to dialogue these three unusual instruments immediately attracted musicians. If the pan flute, accordion and mandolin do not have their place in the family of orchestral instruments, quality arrangements and breathtaking technique of these three musicians only reinforce the urgency of the associate in concert. It is therefore natural that the three musicians begin their concert of Baroque music by A. Vivaldi and JS Bach. Curious to address several different and offer the public a varied program, Michel Denis and Yulia styles play high works in color and rich in expression. So you can hear three instruments playing parts sometimes lyrical, naughty or joyful in arias by Mozart and Brahms Hungarian dances, ending with Neapolitan songs.

CONCERTS AND TESTIMONIES OF LIFE
Michel Tirabosco is convinced that music is an essential part of life.
At the age of 8 he hears for the first time the Adagio of the Concerto in D minor for two violins by J.S. Bach. It is an emotional revelation. He is fascinated by such beauty and purity.
His father, a baritone, takes him to the Opera early on. At home they listen to Verdi, Puccini, Bizet...
Due to his handicap, Michel chooses the virtually only instrument suited for him. His flute is to become his devoted friend, his confidant, his puzzle at times!
For him, to play music is truly a way of life, as he considers music to be an intrinsic quest of himself. Fascinated by the tone he constantly thrives to achieve a perfect equilibrium between technique, musicality and bodily harmony. In all simplicity, Michel Tirabosco will relate his life with its three main components: he is a musician, a husband and father as well as a handicapped person. He will also present his panpipes, drawing a note or two from it here and there. Should you want to organize a concert combined with anecdotes from Michel Tirabosco's life, please do not hesitate to contact him for further information.

GUESTBOOK
"Hello, Yesterday, I was at the Geneva Brass Quintet concert held in EPFL, where I had a chance to listen to your music for the first time. I want to thank you, as your music inspired me, and I haven't listened something such fascinating for a long time, until yesterday. Again, thank you very much for playing your music. Best regards." A.T.
